These terms govern your use of uponsale.com, operated by UponSale. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.

1. What this service is

UponSale is an informational price-comparison and price-history service. We are not a retailer. We do not sell products, hold stock, take payment, ship anything, or act as agent for any retailer. Every purchase you make is a contract between you and that retailer, on their terms.

2. What the prices mean

Prices on this site are observations: what a retailer’s publicly published product data reported at the timestamp shown on the page. They are not offers, they are not quotes, and they are not guaranteed to still be correct when you click through. Retailer data is sometimes incomplete or inconsistent, shipping and taxes may not be included, and prices can change at any moment.

Always confirm the final price, shipping cost and availability on the retailer’s own page before buying. Where we describe a price as “best verified”, that means the lowest among the offers we currently track that passed our checks — not a claim about any wider market.

3. No advice

Deal Scores, price percentiles and buy-or-wait indicators are descriptions of data we recorded. They are not financial, purchasing or professional advice, and they are not predictions of future prices. Decisions you make using this site are your own.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use automated means to place unreasonable load on the service, or to systematically extract the database;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its infrastructure;
• circumvent any rate limit, access control or security measure;
• misrepresent our data, in particular by presenting our figures as a retailer’s own claim or ours as a guarantee;
• use the service in a way that breaks the law or infringes someone’s rights.

Reasonable personal use, quoting a figure with attribution, and linking to our pages are all fine and welcome.

5. Our content and your rights to it

The derived data on this site — canonical product matching, price history, market statistics, Deal Scores, generated visuals and written analysis — is created by UponSale and protected accordingly. Factual product information and prices originate with the respective retailers and manufacturers, and their trade marks remain theirs; we use them only to identify the products being compared.

You may quote limited figures with clear attribution and a link. You may not systematically copy or resell the dataset.

6. Links to retailers

Outbound links take you to third-party sites we do not control. We are not responsible for their content, their prices, their terms, their privacy practices, or the products they sell. Inclusion is not an endorsement, and no retailer can pay to be included or to rank better — see our disclosure.

7. Availability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular product, retailer or figure will remain available. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, UponSale is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on information published here, including price differences, missed offers, purchases made on the basis of a figure that later proved inaccurate, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

9. Corrections

If you believe something here is wrong — a mismatched product, a stale price, a bad merge — tell us. We correct data errors as a priority. Our editorial policy describes how.

10. Retailers

If you operate a store we track and want us to reduce our request rate or stop entirely, contact us or disallow UponSaleBot in your robots.txt. We honour both without argument.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated version. Material changes will be reflected on this page before they take effect.

12. Governing law

These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of United States, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rules of the country in which you live.
